Use partial clues or exact guess history
Quick Clues accepts any number of known letters. Green entries lock exact positions, yellow entries require a letter but forbid the entered position, and gray exclusions remove unmatched copies.
Full Guess records the complete five-tile feedback pattern. It rescans every candidate with the same green-first, duplicate-safe rules, so surplus gray copies cannot erase a valid green or yellow copy.
The candidate set and Best Guess ranking are computed locally from 5,164 CORE words in the current verified word data. CORE + EXTENDED is optional. Ranking runs off the main page thread, and Why This Word reports only metrics calculated from the current candidates.

Can I search with only one or two letters?
Yes. Enter only the known green or yellow positions in Quick Clues and leave every unknown position blank.
When should I use Full Guess?
Use Full Guess when you have all five tiles from a played row, especially when the guess repeats a letter. Exact rescoring preserves Wordle-style duplicate counts.
Is this the official Wordle word list?
No. Results come from the site's verified five-letter word data and are presented as possible lexical candidates, not an official answer or accepted-guess list.
